dell inspiron 11 3000 series 2in1 screen id not working but external monitor is working fine. My laptop took a hard fall and the plastic that holds the screen together came apart exposing 2 wires that came apart as well. I re connected these wires and attached the screen back on. When I started up the laptop I just get 8 loud beeps which I know indicates something wrong with the lcd. Next I connected the laptop to an external monitor which works and I have just been using it like this. However I do want to get the actual screen fixed soon. Would it be safe to assume that it is definitely the lcd screen and order the part and install the new screen myself. Oh yes and the touch screen is still working as well from what I see from the external monitor.
@hsol8357 everything from cause to effect points toward a broken LCD. Replace it then re-evaluate.
