My phone is on, I am receiving notifications, messages and calls but my screen is black, I can’t see a thing. The screen flashes when I press the power button or home key. What do I do?
You can try a reboot - Hold the home power and both volume buttons at the same time. Otherwise it’s likely damaged and will need replacing
I have exactly the same issue. Just last week, sudden blank screen. Soft reset works, but it takes about 20 minutes for the screen to come back on. It’s crazy. I tried updating all the apps, from Google play, Samsung apps, Samsung themes etc, still no use. Until! I thought perhaps if the screen was always on, it shouldn’t turn off. So, I went into settings, display, screen ALWAYS ON. Well, it seems to be working so far, try it and let me know
