The screen of my Kindle 4 is slowly fading. I can hardly read it any more. The device hasn’t been dropped or gone anywhere near water. What causes this? Can it be easily fixed?
It sounds like your e-ink display is defective. If the kindle is still under warranty, you should try to send it back to amazon and get a replacement. If it is not, you may be able to buy a replacement screen and replace it yourself.
