Dropped it into water a week ago, got function back after rice bag for a day. Some condensation inside screen for a few days, some screen flickering. Dim screen display a few days after dropping it in water, yesterday(7 days after submersion), no screen at all.
scotsmanpa should have skipped the rice. It does absolutely do nothing but waste time. The best thing to do is to disassemble your phone by using something like this video After you have it disassembled, clean everything with some 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Use something like this guide for that. Even so it was written for an iPhone all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. Once cleaned check for obviously damaged components etc. Then reassemble your phone and re-evaluate. Yes ii is possible that this is an LCD isolated error and a replacement LCD make fix this but you will not know until you properly treat the water damage first. Motorola Moto G6 Screen Replacement
