Chosen Solution
My tablet hasn’t been turned on in a while. I go to turn it on and the screen boots up to a gray screen but doesn’t show the Samsung logo or anything, just gray. The screen appears to have a brighter gray along the border but nothing actually loads. It may also be important to note that the boot-up sound does go off when I attempt to turn it on just by holding in the power button. Also when I try plugging it into my PC I get a message saying that the device malfunctioned and then the device promptly disconnects from the PC. I’m not sure the cause for either error.
‘Reboot your tablet into recovery mode and factory restoreit Hold ‘vol down’ and ‘power’ buttons on tablet Release ‘power’ when samsung image is shown Release ‘vol down’ when the two icons are shown Use the ‘vol down’ to navigate between the icons Highlight the left icon (box) Press the ‘vol up’ to select it and boot into recovery mode after this using the volume keys go to factory data reset, and scroll to yes and allow up to 10 mins for a factory reset this should fix the problem’
