So this isn’t for me, it’s for my mother but her screen just stopped working she can’t press anything on her screen. Sometimes it works but when it doesn’t it opens random apps and types random letters. It’s opened maps and Reminders. We took off the screen protector to see if it was messing with the touch sensors but it didn’t help.

Well if she has dropped it a few times, odds are she damaged the digitizer which senses the touch. It’s doing what we repair techs call “ghosting” where the screen thinks you’re touching it when you’re really not. Luckily the iPhone 6 is pretty easy to do a screen repair on. You can order a repair kit from ifixit and do it yourself or if you’re not comfortable, call up your local repair shop. Some of us are considered essential businesses depending on your state. Good luck!
