My screen has developed a pink hue. What is the cause of this problem and how do I fix it?
Hi @lawanddisorder5 , Try connecting an external monitor to the laptop and check what its’ display is like. If it is OK then you have a problem with either the video cable to the display panel (loose connection either end, motherboard or panel, or as is more likely the display panel in the laptop is faulty and it needs to be replaced.
Video cable is more likely than the whole display, motherboard, etc. Test as jayeff suggests. The video cable has to go through the hinge and after a while gets damaged from flexing. First thing to try is readjusting the cable slightly to give more slack at the hinge point. May mitigate the pink screen problem.
