Hello, so the sound on my Panasonic Vista Tv becomes distorted after about an hour or so of watching it. Ive tried hooking it up to a Soundbar, but that also becomes distorted after an hour or so of watching it.
Hi @odinist, Just a follow up thought, I was looking to see if there was a firmware update for your model, just in case it was a known issue and came across this (scroll down a bit and click on the support link to the right of specifications) Check what the software version is in your TV. Go to Menu > Setup > about (I think) If you have an earlier version firmware installed and you go to update the firmware from this link, verify that it is your exact model TV that I have linked, as installing the wrong firmware can brick the TV.
@odinist since the sound distorts on the sound bar as well my prime suspect is a failed/failing amplifier IC It is on your main board so see if you can identify it’s location etc. If you do not have the tools to replace an IC consider replacing the board. Since we do not know the exact model of your TV we can be of no assistance with that.
