When I plug m earbuds into my home computer the sound sounds muffled but in anything else, it’s not muffled, this started happening after a piece of the headphones got stuck in the jack. Please help!
Hi @endergamer , What is the make and model number of the computer? Have you checked that there is audio in both earphone speakers, i.e. left and right ear? It may be that it sounds muffled because you are only hearing mono audio and not stereo audio due to the socket being damaged from before when a piece got stuck in there and had to be removed. Check if your computer’s audio manager program has the option to select the left and right speaker preference to make it easier to determine if the audio is both present and clear for both channels. If the computer has inbuilt speakers does the audio sound OK when using them? If so then most probably it is the socket
