Hi, I’ve recently done a screen replacement for a friends phone that was dropped down the toilet. The touch ID was working fine before the screen was replaced but now it’s not even registering the fingerprint. I know that normally if the flex is damaged then it comes up with the message to say touch ID not available however this isn’t. Other than that the home button is working fine, does anyone know what the issue could be? Thanks George
It could be a bad screen as long as the button isn’t damaged and nothing on the board is damaged during fitting… test with the old screen to see if its the replacement screen u have.
