The problem is my touchscreen will not respond completely. For instance, when I try to click a specific app on the home screen, it opens an entirely different app. On top of this, the screen is starting to turn black on certain parts of the screen. Hopefully I can replace the screen if that is even an option.
Kyle, either your Acer Iconia A110 is really beat up or you are working on a student project;-) “a specific app on the home screen, it opens an entirely different app.” is usually caused by a bad digitizer, and " starting to turn black on certain parts of the screen." is a good indication that your LCD has failed. Anyhow, here is a decent teardown that you can use to replace your display assembly and your digitizer. Hope this helps, good luck.
My Acer is not responding. When I went to turn it on it is stuck with the picture of a little robot with his belly open and a red triangle. in the left hand corner it is written Android system recovery <3e> acer Cloud / lost .GIR … I have tried to put a paper clip in te top but nothing is working . I need help!! Susan
