Not catching hdmi cable

Hi, It could be a hardware problem or a software problem. Try a factory reset just to see if this resolves the problem. In the TV menus go to Support > Self Diagnosis > Reset If that doesn’t work try a firmware (software) update and check if that resolves the problem. Unfortunately there are a lot of different Samsung UA55H6400AK models, so it is important to get the correct firmware for your particular model variant otherwise you could “brick” the TV or make it unworkable in your location. There are at least three (3) more letters at the end of the model number. Here are two examples of what I mean. For this model Samsung UA55H6400AKXXU if you scroll down to Downloads you will see that the Upgrade file is Ver.2900.0 For this model Samsung UA55H6400AKXMR if you scroll down to Downloads you will see that the Upgrade file is Ver.2180.4 So search online for (insert full model number) support. Make sure that the page that you end up on (look at the URL at the top of the page) relates to your exact model. Once you have the firmware the instructions are also there on how to install it via USB. I’m not quite certain if Samsung allows you to “update” the firmware if it is already at the version shown or a later version. Check to see what version is already installed in the TV. Go to Menu > Support > Software Update. (I think) Alternatively, if the TV is connected to the internet then try to update using the TV’s software update option. This way you will get the correct firmware update if it is available. If the firmware update doesn’t resolve the issue then you have to consider if it is a hardware problem. First visually inspect the HDMI ports, using a strong light and a magnifying glass to make sure that they aren’t damaged, bent pins etc which may have damaged the HDMI controller in the TV. Not sure with your model whether the HDMI ports are on a separate board or on the mainboard. You will have to disconnect the power from the TV and remove the back cover and check. After that it may be necessary to either replace the mainboard or the HDMI board if the ports are on a separate board
