I have replace the vibration motor and that didn’t fix it I tightened it so hard it was hard to take out again and that didn’t fix it. I’m running out of ideas. When I try to move the motor when it’s nailed down it does not move yet it still makes the buzzing sound. I need help desperately. Fairly new to fixing phones would appreciate some help with this. Thanks.
I’ve had difficulties with the 8 and 8+ Taptic Engine’s making bad noises. What happens is the actual post the screw mounts into breaks of from drops and impacts. The trip the worked for me was glueing down the screw hole and then tightening the screw. Hopefully this helps.
