I have followed all the steps given to me to ensure it stops over heating but none of which have seemed to work. My xbox one worked the first day I got it and I played it for a couple of hours straight, but the next day it has stopped working. I have moved it to a well ventilated spot and made sure all power cords were properly enabled. I have given it 24 hours to rest / cool down, but it only took 5 minutes for it to over heat again. The power supply cord/ box doesn’t feel hot but the xbox one does. Please help me I’m getting really frustrated

Your fan could be bad. If you’re still under warranty, I’d file a claim and get Microsoft to do it. If not, this may help: Xbox One Fan Replacement

Buy a ps4. Half the size and runs at 1080. Can’t believe xbox one overheats when it’s games are limited to 720-912p resolutions
