I have an IBM thnikpad W510 and the problem is with the keys 2,Z , S and X that they don’t work , and other keys work perfectly. And when i use visual keybord , all keys works. Any help please…………
ahmed, sounds like you may have a bad keyboard, or bad wires. Follow these instructions to remove and/or replace your keyboard if necessary. Hope this helps, good luck.
On my W510 the letters jkl, uio didn’t always work. These are assigned to the internal “fake” keypad. To use an external keyboard with a seperate keypad the disable NUM Lock must be done in BIOS first. Otherwise NUM lock changes these characters to 123456.
