I performed a screen and battery replacement on my phone. Both aftermarket components bought from IFIXIT. I noticed that the brightness controls are not working even after switching the Auto-brightness feature off. My screen’s brightness remains ON all the time even if trying to dim manually. Also, Face ID is not working. Is there anyway to repair this issue?
Did you damage any cables for the front camera or the earpiece speaker and proximity sensor. If those cables are damaged face Id will not work. If the proximity sensor is damaged face Id will not work. If the front camera is damaged face Id will not work. And true tone on the screen needs to be programmed on the new screen. You can buy a tool that can do it. There are multiple makers of the tool. If the cables are fine then check the connections and clean them. Also the proximity sensor and front camera must be the original ones because they are paired to the motherboard.
