recently the middle third of my computer is slightly lighter then the rest. it does not go away when i open applications either. how do i fix it?
Typically when I see issues like this it is unfortunately a fault with the backlight in the display assembly. Unfortunately the Surface Laptop was designed to be basically impossible to repair, scoring a 0/10 on iFixit’s repairability scale, so your only options are to live with the issue or sell the laptop and get something else.
