I replaced the screen because it had started to flicker and then didn’t work any more.at all. It happened after an iOS update but Apple said the software is not the problem, the screen needed replacing. After replacing the screen using the iFixit part and guide (and replacing the battery at the same time) it now goes black 3-5 times a day. The iPhone is still on, I can hear clicks when pressing the screen. After a force restart the screen works for a while. That seems to indicate it’s not a faulty connection. FaceID doesn’t work since my screen replacement, I probably damaged the parts (this was my first screen replacement) What now? Thanks for your help.

Hi Matthias, This problem most of the time means that the battery and/or screen has either been damaged or has unmatching voltage. Or another reason is that you could have damaged the proximity sensor. If the proximity sensor has been damaged. the screen may flicker or turn off. You can try unplugging and replugging the sensor, or replacing it. There are many tutorials online to help with the replacement of the sensor. I hope this finds you well. With Regards, -ziamaxim
