Has anyone encountered the black screen of death when the computer is turned on? Is there any way to fix this?

You could try this power drain procedure:

  1. Remove the ram sticks (Clean with a soft lint free cloth while they are out)
  2. Remove the power cord and battery
  3. Hold the power button for 45 to 60 seconds
  4. Replace everything.
  5. Try to power on the laptop. Jim

You could try reinstalling windows, if that doesn’t work then it may be a issue with the screen and you might have to replace it.
