i have had to replace the screen on my iPhone multiple times, and a month or two after the latest screen replace the screen randomly decided to go black. I had not dropped it or sat on it since the new screen was installed. I thought it just needed to be restarted but it did not work. so I left it on charge and after a while I heard the charge sound. I went to go unlock the phone and the screen stayed blank. I later got a call, and I swiped across the blank screen as you would to answer the call and it worked, I was able to answer the call… but the screen was still blank?? I have no idea how this could’ve happened and I brought it to a repair shop and they said the motherboard was bent and they could not fix it. please help as I have no clue how to go about fixing it or even whats actually wrong with it. thanks.
I’m thinking either screen has gone faulty or you have a blown backlight circuit issue. Try shining a flashlight on the screen on an angle and see if you can see the dim text / image display on the screen. If you do manage to see something on the screen, the backlight circuit needs to be repaired via microsoldering. Also cheap aftermarket screens may draw too much power for backlight to work which can cause this issue. So if the backlight circuit needed to be fixed, the screen would also need to be replaced again too as it caused the problem. You can find reputable mobile phone repair shops that offer a no fix no fee model to repair the phone for you. I doubt the issue is caused just from the iPhone board or housing being bent.
If this happened immediately after screen replacement the most likely cause is long screw damage–i.e. overtightening the bottom left LCD screw. That’s a microsoldering job, but repairable. Also on the short list of differential diagnoses would be backlight anode line short (also repairable by microsoldering) and bad LCD–(replace LCD)
