Chosen Solution
There is a tab that comes with most Chromebooks that covers the sd card slot- I assume to prevent dust and such from getting in it. But everywhere I’ve looked on the internet they seem to have no trouble getting it out. I tried to pull it out with tweezers and more but it is meant to fit the hole completely. I don’t know if it is stuck in it or something but I need a solution to get it out so I can transfer files quickly.
some SD card slots have a “door” that opens as you insert the card. If it is a “cover” that is flush, then it may actually be that your model does not have a slot available and what you are seeing is the knockout for the model that does.
