This HP Pavilion a6110n computer was working fine, but when I turned it on one day, there was no video output at all. Not even when first powered up. I tried replacing the video card with another, but it had the same results. What could cause this?
If you have onboard video, try that. If you dont, try to reset the CMOS. What you do is unplug the computer and then inside, normally near the bottom of the motherboard, there is a silver disk which is a battery, remove it and leave it out for atleast 15 min to make sure its reset, then put it back in and then test it. If that doesnt work, does the computer power on at all? Do any fans spin? Do you hear any beeping?
Do not forget to check your monitor: Symptom Screen is blank, and monitor power light is not lit. Possible solution Reconnect the power plug on the back of the monitor and the wall outlet. Press the On button on the front of the monitor. Screen is blank. Press the space bar or move the mouse to make the screen display visible again. Press the Sleep button (select models only), or press the Esc key on the keyboard to resume from sleep mode. Press the On button to turn on the computer. Inspect the monitor video connector for bent pins: If any of the pins are bent, replace the monitor connector cable. If no pins are bent, reconnect the monitor connector cable to the computer.
It turns on fine but shows no pitcher on screen
