My PlayStation hasn’t been working for 2 days. I tried to change the HDMI 3 times and checked the HDMI ports and nothing. On 4 different TVs I plug it into I see the the PlayStation logo and then a black screen. Any help on what I could do ?
This is caused by a couple of things: Blue Light of Death (BLOD) overheating which is caused by the main APU processor chip on the main board going bad over time. Various solutions include reflowing the chip, adding washes to the clamp to increase pressure on the processor heatsink.Bad hard drive. Replacing the hard drive and reinitialising the system will fix this if it is the case. You can check the hard drive health if you have a USB to 2.5” hard drive adapter with hard disk sentinel on a windows computer.Software corruption. Sometimes performing a software update / rebuild database can fix this. Use reinitialise if it did not work.
