When I turn on my Xbox 360 S (limited edition) the light in the center of the power button lights up but the four ring lights stay dark. They are NOT red they are dark. The four ring lights on the control light up but only swirl around. The TV on displays ’no signal’. Have already tried switching between three HDMI cables, that all work fine on anything but the 360, on two TVs and I have even tried with the standard A/V cable that came with the console. Nothing worked. This occurred after attempting to fix a separate issue. I was instructed by a Xbox chat attendant so try a cold boot. They told me to start the console and immediately pull the power cable from the back of the console. Wait thirty seconds and plug it back in and start it up again. Now as stated the console won’t boot up. I have even gone to a friend’s house, who has a 360 S, and use his cables (after confirming that they worked). Both the HDMI and power cables worked fine on their 360 but not on mine. It makes the right start up sound effect but nothing else.

So… Xbox 360s don’t boot if there is no video output (the swirling thing starts at boot) and because you have tried many cables I would say that you have broken something in between the GPU and the video ports and that is why it won’t boot it is dead… P.S. The drive should still be good if you take that out (there is a door on the bottom of the Xbox) and get a new slim you should just be able to pop that in and still have all your stuff

I have this prob too I’m trying to fix it
