I have an older model LG Optimus Fuel, and it has been fine except for running out of memory, so I kept having to delete apps to free up memory. Now When I turn it on, it can’t seem to finish a complete boot cycle–it just gives up after a bit and restarts itself. This will continue indefinitely unless I take out the battery. No combination of holding down any buttons seems to bring it to a new, safe mode or memory. There doesn’t seem to be anything i can do except hit the factory reset button. Is there anything else I can do?
Jc H the very first thing you want to do is to replace the battery. A failed battery (no longer holding a full charge and/or supplying full amperage) could cause symptoms like you describe. Update (12/26/2017) Jc H if this is still the original battery, it is absolutely possible that it is failing. This does happen from one day to the next. If nothing else, a new battery will give you a known-well starting point.
I have this too, I replaced the battery a month before it began so I know it s NOT battery related.
