This macbook air 13 will not charge or turn on after water damage i checked the logic board and replaced i/o board thinking the charging port was corroded. The light when i plug it in with the charger does not turn on. The charger works because i use it for my macbook. Any suggestions on what i should do or check. Before spending more money on some other part that i may not need.
Have you tried another battery? Those die pretty easily with liquid damage. There could be so many things wrong with liquid damage it’s almost impossible to go through. You could have fried the logic board itself if you powered it up in a damaged state, you might just have to send it to a professional in logic board/MacBook repair. Other questions: Does the light turn on when the battery isn’t attached? Have you tried an SMC reset? Did you replace the I/O board cable as well?
