Hello, My iMac 27” mid 2011 Restarts randomly over the last few months It was not often, but since last week it restarts before even getting to the login screen. (Fan seem to be stopped, or very slow) Only temporary solution I’ve found to work is to start the system with the fan at full speed. => Unplug, Plug while holding the power button => No fan and temperature info avalaible in utilities like iStat or FanControl What I’ve tried: SMC & NVRAM ResetPower supply replacementDisconnected both the HDD & SSD and clean install on new SSDAHT diagnostic OK (No reboot during diagnostic) Any idea ? [Sorry for my bad english]
Sounds like you power supply is failing. I’d replace it: iMac Intel 27" EMC 2429 Power Supply Replacement
