I didn’t know why suddenly my keyboard can’t function correctly, not little but almost the keys. I seldom use my laptop one month ago, so my little brother used it for their homework and of course with my permission. I didn’t know what should I to do, is this malfunction or cable in the keyboard oxidized ? please help me, my brother really need it, and if this problem can repair by myself. I’ll to do it if not include specific abilities. Thanks so much

there are plenty of reasons for a keyboard to not function. the fact that some keys work usually implies that it is not a software issue. however, something like this happened to my work computer, and the keys started working on there own after three days. so wait a couple days to see if the issue fixes itself. if not, follow the steps below. I would start with checking for water damage. corrosion is a white/green powder and oxidizing stains that can be found on the device. these are the minerals that are left behind when water evaporates. From there, make sure the keyboard is fully plugged in. remove the keyboard flex, and reconnect it fully. test the function. (a small drop can jostle the flex out of place) if the above do not fix the issue, try a new board. Replace the board, and it should fix the issue. if it does not, then you will likely have a logic board failure.
