Hi, I’ve following problem. After an windows 10 update my keyboard backlight stopped working, i’ve tried to reinstall ATK package and nothing special happened. It would not light even when i start the laptop, i pressed FN+F4/3 many times, i saw it tells me “Brightness up”; “Brightness down” and nothing happens. All FN + button working.

Hi! I had this problem too for a long time. Mine did not occur after a windows 10 update. I updated my gpu driver and then it stopped working. Here is the soultion: Go over here and download the tool https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/dis… Then uninstall the nvidia driver using the tool (you can check tutorials online if you dont know how) Afterwards go to nvidias official site: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverRe… and download this latest driver After that the prolem is solved! It seems that the nvidia driver interfeared with the backlight.
Download the correct ATK Package for your Machine/OS, from the ASUS Download site, The 8.1 package works for win 7. First uninstall the one{s} you have installed, then install the new one.
happened to me when i upgraded from 8.1 to 10, all i did was uninstall the old drivers completely and then reinstall the new ones and during installation of he drivers the keyboard backlight started to work again, good luck
