After pressing power button laptop starts shuts down right away. What should i do?
Hi, Try the following in case it is a corrupted BIOS that is causing the problem. Disconnect the charger (if connected) and remove the main battery from the laptopNext open the laptop and disconnect and remove the reserve battery from the motherboard. Here’s the service manual for the laptop. Go to p.36 of 53 (pdf page numbering) to view the necessary Notices and the pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to disconnect the battery. Note: If you have a DMM (digital multimeter) measure the reserve battery voltage once you have disconnected and removed it from the laptop. It is a 7.2V DC Rechargeable NiMH battery. If the battery has failed or measured <6.0V DC replace it. Search online for 6P466 battery to get results for suppliers that suit you bestPress and hold the laptop’s Power On button for a full 30 seconds and then release it. Doing this will cause the BIOS settings to restore back to their factory default settings.Reconnect the reserve battery to the motherboard and reassemble the laptopReinsert the main battery and connect the charger and try starting the laptop.
Hello, it is terrible to hear that this is happening. It might help to remove the battery and then try turning it on with the power cord to isolate the possible problem to the battery. If this works, I suggest you get a new battery. Until then you could use it with the power cord. If it does not work, try this with battery and without battery: Plug the device into an external display, then when you boot into it, enter BIOS. You can enter this by pressing [DEL] or [F11]. If neither of these work, you may want to take it into a store to get a complete diagnosis. Good luck!
Well A bad battery is first suspect. So try to replace the battery or check your laptop charger as well. And also check if there is a misconfigured timeout somewhere such as in the BIOS or power settings of the laptop.
also, just try first reseating the RAM, sometimes it is just that.
