hi, I have this problem. my laptop randomly freezes pretty much once a day almost everyday. that’s really irritating. The only solution to keep it working is to press and hold the power button, then it shuts down, then I turn it on again and it starts working properly again for an uknown time. This usually happens when I watch videos - movies, etc. I m using Windows 10 I don’t know what should I do to stop it happening. thanks
it soundslike you have a memory issue. This is caused when you have too many programs running at once and all of your memory is used up. there are a few ways to handle this situation. first check to see how much memory you have (RAM). go to my computer and right click on it and go to properties. it should let you know how much memory you have along with some other details. if you have less then 4 gb of memory then that most likely is the problem. You can also press ctrl+alt+del and see what precentage your memory is being used. If you are running over 75% then that will cause your computer to slow and also to freeze. you can buy new RAM, You can increase your page file, and or you can make sure that any program that is not in use is closed. Virus protection sometimes can take up a lot of memory. to increase your page file or virtual memory right click this pc, go to properties, go to advanced system setting, click the advanced tab, go to virtual memory and change, unslect the automatic size and set your own in the custom option. and change it to whatever you like. just so you know virtual memory is when you take some of your storage from your hard drive and use it for memory to reduce the strain on your RAM.
