Why my MacBook Pro opens other Apps unexpectedly? It often happens when I’m streaming on Netflix or Spotify. But, also happens when I’m simply writing and other software like iTunes, Persona, Word open unexpectedly and it’s really annoying. I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5 running 10.14 Mojave.
Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to System Preference > Users & Groups > select your user > Login items > get rid of all the ones you don’t want opened on startup (in my case is all of them)
Keep in mind updating older devices is not always the best idea. Does the icon bounce up and down in the doc below? Does it happen when you plug in your phone, itunes always starts up when you plug in your phone. You can also discover your settings and find out what is happening. You can also left click the icon and remove it from the doc.
