My moto g6 play was dropped, but the screen was not cracked. As soon as it happened, it went to a black screen and has not turned on or shown an indicator light when attempting to charge. Am I going to have to replace the digitizer if not the phone, or can I do some kind of at-home repair or tear down?
@luv4motos this sounds like a broken display not the digitizer. Replace the complete LCD assembly since it is a fused assembly. It will require special tools and skills to replace individual parts. Check something like this video for the How-to
