Chosen Solution
Hi, My 3ds will not charge or turn on Here are the symptoms There is no popping or snapping noise The battery is healthy and has 3.06 volts on it so the battery should be fine. The system has not been water damaged or near moisture of any sort I opened up the backplate and removed the bottom half of the console casing (stripping some screws and possibly damaging the shell in the process, but thats not my concern) and I checked the continuity of the leads. The negative lead from the chargepads to the battery contacts check out , however the positive lead does not. ( I have a feeling the problem is the positive lead, but I just want to be sure) I have looked up online for a solution and I just think that the charge port just needs to be re-soldered onto the motherboard. thank you for answering my question in advance -Antonio77
Maybe you should replace the battery?
Hi have you checked the fuses? Think the 3ds has 2 fuses, one near the charging port and one on the power board.
