I fear my phone may have been slightly water damaged after seeing that it was wet caused from a bottle leak in my bag. I initially noticed two faint lines across the screen but nothing else, the phone worked perfectly for the rest of the day. I put the phone on charge when i went to bed and it was still working when I woke up, I was using it for about 30 minutes then suddenly the screen went dark, and then completely off. Since I have not been able to turn it back on and have tried many solutions, iTunes still reckognises it as and iPhone. Any information on how I could fix this would be very helpful as the phone contains important data that I cannot retrieve any other way, answers appreciated, thanks.
Hello! You would need to go get your screen assembly replaced. While the techs are in there, your phone should be taken apart and dried out of any standing water that still resides on (or under the board). Thankfully, it was just a bottle of water and not soda or anything else harmful. Make sure to take it to a place that specializes in water damage treatments. Can’t trust everyone out there to know what they are doing that could potentially be more harmful to the device. Don’t expect a warranty on anything when you do go. Water damage is very serious and nothing can be promised for any new parts applied to the device afterwards because of potential board damage. Hope this helped a little. Jason Device Savers - Tampa
