I have an 04 Silverado, my driver door window will go down but you have to angle and mess with switch to finally get it to but it won’t go up and my passenger window only goes down? I’ve been told it might be the switches or window motor
@braydenprice this “you have to angle and mess with switch “ is a pretty good indication that it is the switches that are giving you trouble. I would start with replacing those first.
Your window is controlled by a window motor, which turns the window regulator. This regulator utilizes cables to raise and lower the door windows. Over time that cable loses lubricant and also will fray. This causes the cable to no longer slide through the channels in which it is routed. Most often requiring replacement of the window regulator, which can be done without the need to replace the window motor.
