Chosen Solution
The screen and LCD came together. The phone appears to work perfect, except now it won’t register when I touch the buttons to unlock the phone. The phone was 100% operable with the broken screen before I replaced it. I’ve never had this issue before. Could it be that I didn’t get the cables attached entirely? Hoping it’s something simple and I don’t have to send this screen back. (This is also the first time I’ve replaced a 7, all the other phones were the 6 + generation and below.) Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
The only way to fix this is to install the old home button because apple has made buttons on the 7/8 not work after a replacement in the previous generations you could replace a home button and get button functions and no Touch ID but in the 7/8 after a replacement there is no function at all so u need to install the previous button or get a Bluetooth home button (if this was useful can you please upvote )
