my iphone 4 that i got from my mom is permanently disabled. the screen is broken but it still works. it was last on ios 7.1.2 so I can’t restore it without itunes. I currently have it plugged in and in my computer, it only shows the DCIM folder and nothing else, plus it is looping the charging sound. I don’t have itunes on my PC because it won’t download properly. I want to repair it because I have the original box so it will be an almost mint set.
The best to start is to buy a new screen and battery. It will make it more easier when you can see what’s is on the display. Screen and battery medium quality you can find for around $15,- on internet.
